The business provides fuel sales, grocery and convenience items, takeout food, pizza, car wash services, propane exchange, lottery products, and other essential retail services.
Position Overview
Higho Market Ltée-Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Handyman/Woman to support the maintenance and upkeep of its facilities. The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and property care duties to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Handyman/Woman will be responsible for:
Operating industrial vacuum equipment to remove dirt, debris, and refuse.
Cleaning windows, interior walls, ceilings, and washroom facilities.
Performing minor repairs and adjustments to plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Coordinating with qualified contractors for major repairs and maintenance services.
Performing minor repairs on appliances and equipment.
Conducting safety and security checks.
Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
Completing routine maintenance tasks, including painting and drywall repairs.
Maintaining outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, and plants.
Ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Working independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Minimum 5 years of related experience.
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Ability to communicate in English.
