J.T. Construction Ltd. (Surrey, BC) is hiring 1 Permanent Full-Time Carpenter.

The company specializes in residential and commercial construction projects, including multi-unit developments, single-family custom homes, renovations, restoration work, structural upgrades, framing, formwork, and general carpentry services across the Lower Mainland, British Columbia.

Work Location: Various locations across the Lower Mainland

Employment Details:
Permanent, full-time position
$61,000 annually, 32 hours per week plus 4% vacation pay
Start date: As soon as possible

Requirements:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
3 to 5 years of carpentry experience
English language proficiency
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Work Environment:

Indoor and outdoor construction sites
Dusty conditions
Work at heights and in all weather conditions

Physical Requirements:

Physically demanding work
Standing for extended periods
Bending, crouching, kneeling
Ability to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Prepare layouts according to building codes and project requirements
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and fasten wood, wood substitutes, and light-gauge steel materials
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems
Install and fit windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
Estimate material requirements and verify project dimensions
Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
Maintain a clean and safe work site and follow company safety procedures
