Ryanson Transport Ltd. is seeking an experienced Transport Compliance Officer to join our growing commercial transportation and logistics operations.

Job Duties
The Transport Compliance Officer will:
Advise commercial vehicle operators and drivers on applicable transportation laws, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Inspect commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and related equipment for compliance with applicable federal and provincial transportation regulations.
Verify compliance with vehicle weight and load restrictions, cargo securement requirements, transportation of hazardous materials, and public safety standards.
Conduct pre-operational and safety inspections and identify vehicle defects, deficiencies, or compliance concerns.
Review driver and vehicle documentation, including inspection records, logbooks, permits, and other required transportation records.
Identify, document, and investigate potential regulatory and safety compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare inspection, incident, compliance, and corrective-action reports and maintain accurate records.
Monitor compliance with applicable hours-of-service, vehicle safety, cargo securement, and transportation requirements.
Communicate inspection findings and regulatory requirements to drivers, operators, dispatch personnel, and management.
Follow company health and safety procedures when conducting inspections in truck yards, loading areas, and roadside or operational environments.

Qualifications
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
5 years or more of relevant experience

Credentials
By-law enforcement training courses
Health and safety training course

Experience and Specialization
Knowledge of accident or incident reports
Experience with transportation compliance documentation and records
