Shibu Rajan is currently looking for one full-time child caregiver who can take care of her daughter.

Position: Child Caregiver-private home

Position Available: 1

Wage: $21.00 per hour

Duration: 35-40 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: 7151 121 Street #319 Surrey, BC V3W 0E7

Job Duties:

·         Provide attentive, responsible, and kind care and supervision, making sure she is safe, comfortable, and emotionally well always.

·         Assume full responsibility for the child in the absence of the parents and follow their instructions about daily routines, activities, discipline, and care.

·         Prepare and serve nutritious meals as per child’s dietary needs and family preferences.

·         Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing when required.

·         Help with homework, reading, and school-related activities.

·         Take the child to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, and other authorized activities, as required.

·         Provide appropriate supervision when the child is at home, outdoors, or participating in recreational and social activities.

·         Provide emotional support, friendship, and guidance.

·         Promote healthy eating habits and create a positive and relaxed atmosphere during mealtimes.

·         Follow the parents’ instructions regarding discipline and daily routines.

·         Keep daily records of the child’s activities, school-related matters, appointments, health concerns, and other relevant information when requested by the parents.

·         Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child, including cleaning and organizing the child’s room, play/study areas, and common areas used by the child.

·         Keep a safe, healthy, clean, and supportive home environment for the child.

·         Maintain simple records of the child’s daily activities and important updates.

Job Requirements:

Education: Minimum Secondary School Education is required

Experience: 1-2 years’ relevant experience of childcare.

Language: English (Oral and Written)

Personal Suitability: Organized, Flexibility, Effective interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding
