J.T. Construction Ltd. (Surrey) urgently requires 1 Permanent & Full Time, Carpenter. Our company deals with residential projects, from multiunit developments, and single-family custom homes, to restoration and renovation services. We do structural upgrades, renovations, framing, formwork, and mill work along with Custom houses and general contracting. Work will be at various locations in Lower Mainland, B.C.

CARPENTER (1)

Eligibility Requirements:

·         Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

·         Minimum 2 Year

·         English (verbal and writing)

·         Compensation: $36.60/hour for 32-40 hours/week along with 4% vacation pay

Duties of Carpenter:

As Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including measuring, cutting, and fastening materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel. You will read and interpret blueprints, prepare and build foundation systems, install floor beams and joisting systems, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems. Additionally, you will fit and install doors and windows, maintain, repair, and renovate residences, and use and maintain power and hand tools common to the trade. Your duties also include cutting metal framing and trim to size, installing metal studs, reading blueprints to determine installation methods, measuring and marking surfaces, daily clean-up of job sites, and maintaining a safe and professional work environment. You will provide feedback on progress and deficiencies, train construction helpers, and perform other duties as assigned to support our growing company.

Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks. Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time. Requires lifting, pulling and carrying of equipment and other objects Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors and all-weather conditions.
