Royal Star Painting Ltd., located at 4037 Glanford Ave, Victoria, British Columbia, V8Z 3Z7, is seeking two experienced Painters for permanent full-time positions in Victoria, British Columbia.

Salary: $61,000 annually / 32 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Location:
On the road. Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee. Mainland and Island both

Requirements:
• English
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 5 years or more of painting experience
• Experience working independently on residential and commercial painting projects
• Ability to estimate materials, prepare surfaces, and complete high-quality interior and exterior finishes

Job Duties:
• Prepare, clean, sand, scrape, patch, and prime surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks, holes, drywall damage, and other surface imperfections before painting
• Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, sealers, and coatings to required colour and texture specifications
• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
• Advise customers on colours, finishes, coatings, and choice of wall coverings
• Estimate labour, materials, paint quantities, and job-site requirements
• Erect, inspect, and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and related equipment
• Protect surrounding areas, furniture, flooring, and fixtures during painting work
• Complete finishing work to professional standards and ensure job sites are cleaned after completion
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain painting tools and equipment
